How to attend Boris Zolotov ESP seminar?

If you catch Zolotov seminar in Ukraine - you're lucky, because people from US and from EU don't need visa to visit Ukraine. But if you want to come to a seminar in Russia then read on.

If you are not from the former Soviet Union and you want to come to Zolotov seminar in Moscow, here is helpful information that Rachel from Canada helped me to find. First of all, you'll need to get a Russian visa. To get a visa you'll need an "invitation". When in Russia, you'll need to "register" your visa. It seems that there is an easy way to do it all and it's explained on a website. And here is another website with web forms working properly.

Get Russian visa in 6 easy steps! (source)

1) Check your passport (Make sure you got it).
2) Contact Russian consulate and listen to what they say and recommend. I guess, your story must be that you wanna see Moscow on your own. From my experiences with Russian bureaucrats, telling them you are going to a seminar will make your chances getting visa smaller. (List of Consulates is somewhere on the site.)
3) General reccomendation: Call Russian travel agency or a hostel you stay in and ask them to make invitation papers for you and to send them by fax to you and to the Russian consulate in the country you are in. Costs from $25. Takes 1 day.
This seems to be easier: Instead of calling, do it on the web.

March 10, 2002, update:
Last week we found that invitation forms at Waytorussia.net don't work properly. We contacted their staff and they directed us to another site http://www.visahouse.com/ that provides same day invitation [to Russia] service for US $ 30.00.
So I would advice you:
-- Register at visahouse website (enter your name, email and password) and fill the invitation request form there (choose "New Order");
-- send them an email at visa@visahouse.com; info@visahouse.com asking them to confirm that they got your data.

4) Take the faxed papers, your passport, photos, insurance to Russian consulate.
5) Fill the application form, pay a fee and wait from 1 to 14 days - depends how much you pay. Costs: usually around $40-50.
6) Get your Visa

When in Moscow we'll need to get your visa oficially registered. Then you can proceed with the seminar.
